Kom Ombo Temple - Temples - The Buildings - Builders & BuildingsThe Pylon was built by Pharaoh Ptolemy XIII. Next to it was the Shrine or Chapel to the Goddess Hathor which was built from Red Sandstone.
Nilometer, Wells & Pool
The Nilometer, Wells and Pool are in the Forecourt area of the Temple. The Pool may have been used to house the baby and juvenile crocodiles.
The Mummified Crocodiles shown in the Museum are the ones who were found inside the Temple when it was excavated.
