On entering the Temple area, you are immediately standing inside the Temple’s Forecourt.

The Decoration here is split between the 2 Gods: Sobek and Horus. Originally you would have been surrounded on 3 sides by Columns, parts of which remain today, and many remain highly coloured.

Centrally in front of the entrance is a Double Altar which has a square base with stone screens which depict the Gods with Pharaoh Ptolemy XII.
